Toad in the Yard

Shayla and her big brother Cole stood in the front yard, tossing a ball back and forth. Shayla enjoyed feeling the cool grass between her toes.

Something small moved near Cole’s foot. “Watch out, Cole,” she said, pointing. “I see something there. It’s moving toward you.”
