Sailing
Sailing uses the power of wind to move a boat. Sailboats can travel on water, ice, or land. A sailboat has sails that are made of material. Tall masts hold the sails. The sails catch the wind and move the boat forward.
A boat can also be called a “craft” or “vessel”. The front of a boat is called the “bow” and the back is called the “stern.” “Starboard” is the right side and “port” is the left side. A yacht is a luxury sailboat.
