Penguins

There are seventeen different species of penguins. The smallest species is the Blue penguin, and the largest is the Emperor penguin. All penguins have white bellies and black or bluish-grey backs.

Except for one species, the Galapagos penguin that lives north of the equator, penguins live almost exclusively in the southern half (hemisphere) of the world. While they are often thought of as living in Antarctica, they also live on the coasts of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America, and on different islands, such as the Galapagos Islands.
