Klondike Gold Rush
Three men went hunting for gold in Canada. They finally found some in 1896. It glittered in the rocks by the Klondike River. It was big news. People went crazy for gold.
Everybody wanted to strike it rich. But it was hard work. Most miners found nothing. Many died trying. That didn’t stop more hopeful folks from heading north.
