A Year of Seasons

Our years have four seasons. In some places, the weather changes a lot throughout the year. In other places, there is less change. Where there is a lot of change in the season, we start the year very cold. Winter is the coldest time. You wear a coat and mittens. Boots keep your feet dry.

Snow or rain falls from the clouds. Water turns to ice. The wind makes your face cold. Spring comes after winter. The sun warms the ground. The snow melts. Trees grow new leaves and flowers start to bloom.
